Jim and MoFo

My roommate and dear friend from college, Jim Martin has a touching piece about his love (bordering on obsession) with a contralto named Maureen Forrester. She passed away recently and he writes about how she and the music she performed changed his life. I never got into it as much as he did but I’m glad I was there with him on a few occasions including the one he describes in his post. Please read it if you have the time.

Thanks for the reference, Ody. I knew she would be leaving us soon; she wasn’t doing well health-wise. But even inevitabilities are sometimes difficult to deal with.
